The bill directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to notify affected caregivers of their appeal and eligibility options.

Different priority categories determine a veteran’s eligibility and the order in which they can enroll for VA health care. The bill defines priority participants as veterans with service-connected disabilities of 50% or greater or who were awarded the medal of honor.
